The AER Fusion hybrid system is a foam mattress with an alternating inner core. AER Fusion is designed to provide maximum comfort, support and outstanding pressure distribution for those at a high risk of developing a pressure ulcer.
Step up or step down, the AER Fusion hybrid system can be used in both non-powered and powered modes. If a patient’s condition deteriorates plug in and activate the internal air cells. When the patient improves the AER Fusion becomes a high risk static mattress. This versatile system provides uninterrupted patient centred care without compromise or increased costs.
Coupled with auto weigh technology the AER Fusion allows clinicians to provide patient centered care, whilst the pump works quietly in the background.
Key Features

- The most versatile and comfortable air mattress system with super supportive foam and the option to be a static foam or alternating air mattress.
- Providing excellent step up or step down care dependent on your patients needs.
- Ideal for low to high risk patients at risk of developing a pressure ulcer or other pressure related incidence.
- No weight guide required as the AER Fusion automatically adjusts internal mattress pressure by using the Intelligent Smart Sensor (ISS).
- Comfort setting has been developed for comfort only. Three modes are soft, medium and firm. The AER Fusion will default at medium setting.
- Unlock feature, pump will lock out after one minute if buttons not being activated. Touch unlock button for 3 seconds and the pump will unlock, activating all therapy modes.
- Mute button, to mute alarms for low pressure or power shortage. If the problem is not resolved after 3 minutes, the pump will re-alarm. The pump will continue to do this process until the issue has been resolved.
- Audible and visual alarm for low pressure and power failure.
- Whisper quiet.
- Nineteen cells in total alternating on a 1 in 2 cell cycle imbedded within the hybrid mattress. Providing therapeutic pressure relief with maximum comfort.
- Castellated head and sacrum zone to provide maximum pressure distribution and comfort.
- Gel infused heel zone, which supports the calfs and elevates the heels reducing pressure damage in this vulnerable area.
- Supportive sidewalls with hinge cuts to facilitate Aer Fusion profiling at both head and foot end.
- Key cuts in top section of foam to lock into position, this will reducing movement, shear and friction when patient is profiling on the bed.
- Four-way multi-stretch polyurethane (PU) cover to reduce shear and friction
- Fully welded, vapour permeable, water resistant cover with 360 degree concealed zipper for easy removal with PU overhang to stop ingress of fluids.
- BS7177 Crib 5 flame retardant foam.
